Feenstra subscription or boiler servicing through Zoofy: which suits you?

Your boiler works. But should you pay for maintenance every month, or only when an engineer visits? Feenstra combines regular servicing with breakdown support through a subscription. Through Zoofy, you book an individual service without an ongoing boiler maintenance contract. The right choice depends on the total costs, repair coverage and how much you want to organise yourself.

Feenstra’s repair coverage depends on your package. Through Zoofy, you book and pay for a new repair separately.

What does a Feenstra boiler subscription cost?

Annual amounts are calculated as twelve monthly payments, excluding price changes, discounts and additional work.

A subscription does not make every repair free

With Basis, you still pay for labour and parts when your boiler breaks down. Comfort also covers repair labour, but parts remain an additional expense. All-in offers the broadest coverage, subject to its terms.

Look beyond the monthly fee. Consider which unexpected repair bills you are willing and able to pay yourself.

What conditions apply at Feenstra?

Condition

What does it mean?

Minimum contract term

A standalone service subscription runs for at least one year. After that, you can cancel on a monthly basis.

New boiler with All-in

A minimum two-year term may apply when buying a boiler and installation together with Service en Onderhoud All-in.

Servicing frequency

Normally every 24 months. Annual servicing is available for a higher monthly fee.

Acceptance

Subject to the appliance inspection and the condition of the installation.

Boiler age

Basis and Comfort are advertised for boilers of all ages. The maintenance page lists All-in for boilers younger than 13 years.

Brands

AWB, ATAG, Bosch, Intergas, Nefit, Remeha and Vaillant.

Feenstra describes the All-in age limit differently across its pages. If your boiler is around 13 years old, ask for confirmation that it qualifies. If your boiler works with a hybrid heat pump, also check which package is suitable.

The inspection may identify repairs that are needed before the boiler can be accepted. These are not automatically covered by the initial fee. Inspection charges may still apply if the installation is rejected.

What does boiler servicing through Zoofy cost?

Through Zoofy, you can book boiler servicing from €129 including VAT. Without Premium, a €24.95 platform service fee also applies per job. This brings the total to from €153.95 including VAT and the platform service fee. Materials, parking and additional work may cost extra.

You select the job, provide your availability and an affiliated heating engineer accepts the booking. After the work is completed, you pay through Zoofy. You do not need an ongoing boiler maintenance contract.

With Zoofy Premium, the regular platform service fee is waived. This optional membership has its own subscription cost.

Check the boiler servicing price for your booking.

A future breakdown is not covered by an individual service. You book and pay for that repair separately. A warranty on completed work is different from coverage for a new fault.

Scheduling

A maintenance appointment through Feenstra

You provide preferred times; the appointment depends on acceptance and engineer availability

A subscription offers convenience and ongoing support. In return, you pay fixed charges and commit to a minimum term.

Booking individual services gives you the freedom to decide each time. You do need to arrange maintenance yourself and budget for unexpected repairs.

When could one-off boiler servicing cost less?

If your boiler needs few repairs, paying per service can be attractive. There are no ongoing boiler subscription payments between appointments.

For example, Feenstra Basis costs €181.44 in the first year, including the initial inspection. One service through Zoofy starts at €153.95 including the regular platform service fee. That is a difference of €27.49 before additional charges. Feenstra also provides access to breakdown support, so the two prices represent different services.

Look beyond the first year. Compare the same servicing frequency and include possible repair costs. Always follow your boiler manufacturer’s maintenance instructions. Choosing less frequent servicing simply to reduce costs does not make a fair comparison.

When might a boiler maintenance subscription suit you better?

Would you prefer one service provider to contact if the heating stops working? And would you appreciate a reminder when servicing is due? A subscription may be worth the ongoing cost.

Consider how much uncertainty you want to cover. With Basis, repair labour and parts remain your responsibility. Comfort and All-in provide more coverage for a higher monthly fee.

Feenstra also offers a one-off inspection and service called APK+. Servicing without a subscription is therefore available through Feenstra too.
