The difference between sound insulation and acoustic insulation
In principle, sound insulation is meant to keep sounds in or out. Sound insulation ensures, as it were, that sounds cannot be passed on. Acoustic insulation, on the other hand, makes it possible to perceive sounds optimally and has a lower insulation effect.
