Having masking tape applied and small painting work carried out usually costs between €75 and €225, depending on the surface, the number of edges and the preparation needed. Materials such as masking tape, protective film, primer and paint may be added separately.
Masking before painting usually takes around 1 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the room and the number of parts that need protection. This can include skirting boards, window frames, switches, floors and adjoining walls. If the tradesperson also paints, extra time is needed for sanding, cleaning, painting and drying.
The tradesperson first checks the surface and determines which tape is suitable for the job. After that, the tradesperson can apply the paint neatly and remove the tape at the right moment for a clean line.
