Insulating a wall usually costs between €250 and €900 in labour, depending on the type of wall, the number of square metres, the chosen insulation method and accessibility. Material costs for insulation boards, foil, timber framing, fixing materials or finishing are usually added separately. Cavity wall insulation, internal wall insulation and installing an insulated partition wall can differ greatly in price and approach.
Insulating a wall usually takes about half a day to 2 days. A small internal wall or partition wall can often be completed within one day. Larger surfaces, extra finishing or hard-to-reach walls may take longer.
The tradesperson first checks the wall, the surface and the best insulation method. The insulation material is then cut to size and installed, for example using insulation boards, foil or an insulated partition wall. Finally, the tradesperson ensures everything fits neatly and is ready for further finishing, reducing cold, draughts and heat loss.
