Are you planning on installing an electric gate or do you want to replace your electric gate? Then you probably want to know everything about the price. Please note that it is difficult to put an exact figure on the cost of an electric gate, as this depends on a number of factors.
Just to give you an idea: the simplest model is available for around 350 euros. For a double electric all-in gate you pay between 1,000 and 3,000 euro. An electric sliding gate is a bit more expensive. The average costs are between 3,000 and 7,000 euro. These prices include installation. One of the most important price-determining factors is the type of electric gate you choose. For example, a swing gate is generally cheaper than a sliding gate, but it does take up more space.
The motor you choose also affects the cost of an electric gate. For example, an underground motor is the most expensive, but it is completely invisible. Aesthetically, this is therefore the best choice. Would you rather save money on the motor? Then you can opt for a basic model. You can get this from as little as 250 euros.
There are also different options for opening your gate. For instance, you can have it opened using a handheld transmitter, via a phone or with the intercom. If you choose the opening by phone, a kind of SIM card is inserted in the gate with its own phone number. You can put numbers on it. When one of these numbers calls or texts the gate, it opens. This system is very convenient, but also expensive. The cheapest solution is an electric alarm lock, which will cost you between 50 and 400 euros. For the intercom, you pay between 200 and 300 euros.
The cost of installing a new electric gate is much higher than the cost of repairing your existing gate. For example, if something is wrong with the motor, you can only have it replaced, saving several hundred euros.
